These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern use of the Velour Research website (the “Site”), the Velour Research catalog, and any related services (collectively, the “Services”). By using the Services, the visitor agrees to these Terms.
1. Eligibility
The Services are offered only to qualified researchers aged 21 or older. By accessing the catalog, placing an order, or creating an account, the user represents and warrants that they meet these eligibility criteria and that all information provided is accurate.
2. Research-use attestation
All products in the catalog are sold strictly for laboratory research use by qualified investigators. At checkout, the purchaser is required to affirm that (a) they are a qualified researcher; (b) the products will be used strictly for in vitro or pre-clinical research; (c) the products will not be administered to humans or animals; and (d) the products will be stored and handled in accordance with applicable safety and regulatory standards. The timestamp and IP address of each attestation are logged with the corresponding order.
3. No therapeutic claims
Product descriptions refer to the published research literature. No statement on the Site constitutes medical advice or a therapeutic claim. Products are not approved by any regulatory authority for the diagnosis, treatment, cure, mitigation, or prevention of any disease or medical condition.
4. Orders, pricing, and fulfillment
All orders are subject to acceptance by Velour Research. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order, including without limitation orders that appear fraudulent, that ship to restricted jurisdictions, or that violate these Terms. Prices are listed in US dollars and are subject to change without notice. Shipping is limited to the United States except as otherwise specified.
5. Returns and damaged shipments
Due to the research nature of our products, sales are final once shipped. In the event of a visibly damaged shipment or a material QC discrepancy documented on the COA, contact support within 72 hours of delivery and we will arrange a replacement or credit at our discretion.
6. Intellectual property
The Velour Research name, logo, site design, and written content are the intellectual property of Velour Research. The published research references cited in our product descriptions remain the property of their respective authors and publishers.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Velour Research shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use or misuse of any product sold through the Services. The purchaser assumes full responsibility for the safe handling, storage, and lawful use of all products received.
8. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts of Delaware.
9. Changes to the Terms
Velour Research may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised “last updated” date. Continued use of the Services after any such update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
